The Expandable Fields are Overlapping the Pre-printed Text

The setting for your computer's video hardware accelerator may cause Realfast to work improperly. Symptoms can include:

  • Expandable fields are overlapping the pre-printed text.
  • Fields overlap on the screen but not in printed contracts.
  • The Realfast program hangs or crashes when you try to open a contract.

This problem is easily resolved by changing the setting for your computer's video hardware accelerator.

To change the setting for the video hardware accelerator:

  1. Make sure you have closed Realfast.
  2. Click on the Windows Start button (usually located in the lower left corner of your desktop.)
  3. Click Control Panel (sometimes located to the right of Settings.
  4. Double-click on Display.
  5. Click the Settings tab.
  6. Click the Advanced button.
  7. Click the Troubleshooting tab.
  8. If the hardware acceleration is set at Full, reduce it by one notch.
  9. Click on Apply and then OK.
  10. Click OK again.
  11. Restart Realfast and see if the problem is resolved. If it is not, please repeat these steps and try a lower setting for the video hardware accelerator.
