Why are some of the fields in the Online Application highlighted in yellow?

 

This behavior is caused by the Google Toolbar and a feature called "AutoFill".  The Google Toolbar allows you to enter information such as name, address, phone, email, etc. and can automatically populate forms (including the Realfast Online Forms) with this information.  It is not very accurate for use with our program, as it will put your phone number in any field that is tagged as a phone number field, etc. Another option of the Google Toolbar AutoFill feature, which is set on by default, highlights any fields in a form that Autofill could populate in yellow.  It is this feature that is putting the yellow highlights in Realfast Online forms.

Here's how to turn off highlighting in the Google Toolbar Autofill feature:

 

  1. On the Google Toolbar, click the Options button/icon.  The Toolbar Options screen appears.
     
  2. Click the Browsing tab if it is not already selected
     
  3. To turn off the AutoFill feature completely, uncheck the box next to AutoFill, then click OK.
     
  4. To turn off the AutoFill highlighting, click the AutoFill Settings button, the uncheck the box next to "Highlight fields on web pages that AutoFill can update in yellow". Click OK, then click OK.
