Creating Master Contracts
Master contracts can be created to speed up the contract preparation process. Master contracts can contain all the clauses and other necessary information so that only transaction-specific information such as buyers, sellers, dates, and property descriptions need to be added.
The Administrator must first create a Master Contract before it can be used by other users. If the Master Contract has not been previously created, the Use Master Contracts button will be dimmed.
To create a Master Contract:
- Logon to Realfast as the Administrator using ADMIN as the logon name and ADMIN as the password.
- From the Realfast menu, select File, then New Form.
- Highlight the contract you want to use, then click OK.
- Fill in all the desired contract information.
- Setup automatic dating (optional).
- From the Realfast menu, select File, then Save Form, or Save Form As.
- Enter a file name that begins with "Master" to designate it as being a master contract ( for example: Master Residential Sale).
The Master Contract is now available for use by others.
To use a Master Contract:
- Logon to Realfast with your user name and password.
- From the Realfast menu, select File, then New Form.
- In the Select Form Dialog Box, click the Use ADMIN-Master Contract button.
- Highlight the Master Contract you wish to use, then click the Create a Contract button.
- In the Contract Name dialog box, enter a name for your contract (for example: Smith-Jones).
- Complete the contract as you normally would.
