Realfast can automatically send a contract via e-mail using Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express and a properly configured e-mail account. Just create the e-mail attachment in Realfast (using the envelope icon on the toolbar or the Utilities / E-Mail Contract menu). A new e-mail message will open with the contract attached.
The Realfast software is not an e-mail program; it simply uses Outlook to open a new message and attaches the e-mail attachment. Make sure you can send and receive e-mail with Outlook or Outlook Express before trying to e-mail a contract with Realfast.
You can use any e-mail product or service to send a saved Realfast contract. After you choose the e-mail Attachment File type in Realfast (using the envelope icon on the toolbar or the Utilities / E Mail Contract menu and then selecting either the PDF or EXE file option), the program will give you the option to select the Email software you use. (if you selected PDF, the program will first give you the PDF Settings window) Then open a new e-mail message using your e-mail program and attach either the PDF or EXE file. The PDF format is recommended. The email file will be saved in:
"c:\rfwin\data\username\mail", where username is your Realfast logon name.
Some Internet Service Providers (ISP), including Microsoft Office XP, Outlook 2002, or Outlook 2000 will block EXE files in an attachment. Microsoft has decided to block .EXE files (and about 30 other types of files) in an attempt to improve the security of its E-mail products.
Realfast stores contract information in a proprietary format called an FDB file. You'll notice that contracts you create have a extension of FDB after the file name (for example: SmithJones.fdb). This file format can only be read and modified by Realfast software. For security purposes, it cannot be opened by other programs such as Microsoft Word. This ensures that only the agent or broker who created the contract can edit it.
Realfast customer support cannot help you configure your E-mail software. Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or e-mail provider must supply you with the proper information such as logon name, password, incoming e-Mail server address, outgoing e-Mail server address, and other settings specific to their service. Realfast Customer Support has no way of knowing this information. You should contact your ISP or e-mail provider for help on configuring your e-mail software.
Yes. In order to send multiple contracts at once, the contracts must first be converted into pdf format. To convert your contracts into pdf fomat: Click Utilities on your toolbar menu, Click Convert contract to pdf. The contract will then be saved as a pdf in your logon folder for Realfast. The pdf files will be found in C:\rfwin\data\"logon name folder".
Once the files are all converted, you can compose an e-mail message and attach all the files you wish to send.
